Laminated Fabrics

A variety of surface fabrics are available for laminating to either surface of the neoprene rubber sheet. Fabrics include:

100% Cotton – A cotton face fabric with an appearance, texture and hand similar to that of a common bath towel.

Thickness of Fabric: .5-.6mm
Weight: 260g/yard (56″ width)

100% Nylon Jersey– A 100% nylon fabric with a very soft hand and smooth finish.

100% Polyester Jersey

Small Diamond Fabric – A 100% nylon fabric with a soft hand and an enhanced woven textured appearance.  This fabric is heavier than our standard 100% nylon jersey and features greater abrasion resistance as well. 

Weight: 220g/y (54” width)

U-Loop– 100% nylon low pile loop fabric that is compatible with hook fastener tape.  It is lightweight, breathable, and features stretch and an exceptionally soft hand.  Appropriate for low-cycle and infrequent fastening as repeated use will result in fabric pilling.

Japanese Unbroken Loop (UBL)– Japanese UBL’s surface consists of a series of un-broken loops that are compatible with hook fasteners.  Composed of 95% nylon and 5% spandex, UBL provides high stretch, hook compatibility and excellent durability. Designed with high tear strength properties. It can be repeatedly attached/detached from a hook fastener and is ideal for advanced medical care equipment and protective sporting equipment.

OK-T Cloth – A 90% nylon and 10% spandex fabric features a looped surface that has been designed to be repeatedly attached/detached from a hook fasteners.  Available in 2 thickness and weights.

Weight: 330g/yard & 400g/yard (54″width)

Pique (PK)– 100% nylon Pique fabric’s unique weave is characterized by raised parallel cords or fine ribbing.  It creates a fine textured surface that appears similar to a waffle weave. This subtle pattern and texture is only noticeable up close.  Pique fabric is breathable, durable, soft and has excellent give and comfort. It is suitable as lining for footwear and protective gear and accessories.

Long Loop Terry– A soft and comfortable 100% nylon woven fabric with excellent warmth retention properties and can be applicable as a wetsuit or clothing liner.  The loops are compatible with Hook fasteners and have a shiny appearance.

Weight: 190g~200g/yard (54″ width)

Short Loop Terry– A soft and comfortable 100% nylon woven fabric with excellent warmth retention properties and can be applicable as a wetsuit or clothing liner.  The loops are compatible with Hook fasteners and have a semi-sheen appearance.

Thick Shiny Terry – A thicker version of the same 100% nylon terry cloth.

Thickness of Fabric: 1mm
Weight: 350g/yard (54″ width)

Grid Fleece (VISA) – a lightweight 100% polyester fabric with a soft gridded fleece texture.

Weight: 200g/yard (56” width)

Lycra/Spandex High stretch fabric available in either 80% nylon/20% spandex composition or 82% nylon/18% spandex. Available in 3 weights depending on composition.

Weight of 80/20: 180g/yard and 220g/yard (54” width)
Weight of 82/18: 260g/yard (54″width)

Super Stretch– A high stretch fabric consisting of 80% Nylon and 20% Spandex

Nomex – Nomex is an inherently flame-resistant, high-temperature resistant fiber that will not melt, drip or support combustion in air.  Nomex can be found in protective fabrics, garments, insulation and other high-performance applications that provide protection against flames and high temperatures.

Light Abrasion-resistant cloth – A thick heavier woven fabric consisting of 80% polyester and 20% spandex, featuring a raised grid texture pattern that provides light traction. Resistant against wear and ideal for surfaces that will see higher traffic.

Heavy Abrasion-resistant cloth– A thicker heavier woven fabric consisting of 19.5% Kevlar, 70% nylon and 10.5% polyester.  Features a well pronounced raised grid texture pattern that provides traction. Resistant against wear and ideal for surfaces that will see higher traffic.

Weight: 350g/yard (42″width)

Kevlar–  Kevlar is an extremely strong and durable low stretch fiber with five times the tensile strength of steel of equal weight.  When properly designed, Kevlar can be used for protective clothing, accessories, and equipment.

Polyurethane– Thick, soft and smooth non-porous Polyurethane fabric that is very weather resistant.  Perfect for upholstery or outdoor use. 

Super-stretch Polyurethane– A thinner version of our Polyurethane fabric has the additional benefit of 4-way stretch.

Sublimationable– A thicker double knit white polyester surface fabric that accepts ink dye sublimation printing and readily produces crisp lines and clean graphics.

Anti-microbial – A process whereby the 100% nylon face fabric, the laminate glue, and the neoprene rubber itself undergo an anti-microbial treatment.
